Team unveils new branding, driver lineup, and FW47 car ahead of the 2025 season
On February 11, the Williams Formula 1 team announced a new partnership with Atlassian.
As they prepare for the upcoming F1 season, Williams revealed that Atlassian, an Australian software company, will become their official title partner. The team will now be known as Atlassian Williams Racing.
A title sponsorship means that the company has the right to use its name in the official race title or team name. This has the highest level of sponsorship in sports ands it offers
Williams team principal James Vowles, described the deal as the biggest partnership in the team’s history and one of the most significant in the sport. He shared the announcement in a Loom video, highlighting the impact this collaboration will have on the team’s future.
Loom, one of Atlassian’s collaboration tools, helps businesses work more efficiently. Atlassian itself powers over 300,000 organizations with its industry-leading, AI-driven collaboration software.
Vowles emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, "Atlassian’s products and tools will help us achieve our full potential." Williams is also investing in new engineering talent and state-of-the-art facilities, which will soon be operational.
The team has a new driver lineup this season, featuring Carlos Sainz, who recently drove for Ferrari, alongside his teammate Alex Albon. Albon has been in the team for the past three years.
Williams has given a sneak peek at their new uniforms, which include the team’s updated sponsorship.
Williams has also rebranded its social media to Atlassian Williams Racing. With many fans excited on what to come in the future.
On Feb 19, the team will unveil their FW47 car at Silverstone, officially kicking off their partnership with Atlassian.
